Gateshead Waders

A trip to Shibdon before work this morning. Wader numbers are building up as the water level drops with 1 Green Sandpiper, 1 Ruff, 2 Black-tailed Godwit and 6 Snipe along with good numbers of Lapwing and Redshank. An adult Kittiwake was at the back of the pond, surprisingly rare here with just one or two per year. 31 Swift moved through, heading south in small parties.

Black-tailed Godwit
Lamesley tonight held 1 Common Sandpiper and 1 Snipe. A Ringed Plover was at Timber Beach along with Curlew, Redshank and Lapwing.
