End of the northerly

The last day of the northerly airflow, so another early seawatch at Whitburn. Again no stand-out rarities, but plenty of Artic Skua and Sooties, plus the first Red-necked Grebe of the autumn. Will be nice to get a lie in tomorrow.

A look at Far Pasture failed to turn up a Ruddy Darter, but there were a few Common Darter basking on the fence.

  1. Cracking shots of the Black Darters Rob. If the weather is fine I might try for them after work late this afternoon.

  2. You have to grab it while you can. You can catch up on sleep during the long cold winter days. That's my philosophy, anyway.
